Shopify agency · Luxury

A Shopify agency for luxury brands.

Luxury stores that feel like the product before it arrives.

Shopify Experts, Shopify Plus Partner (opens in a new tab)

At a luxury price the store is the first thing a customer handles. We build and run Shopify stores for luxury fashion, fine jewellery and Swiss watches, from a Paris outerwear label to bespoke engagement rings, with the photography given room and every market set up properly.

Why luxury brands work with us

A luxury ecommerce agency is judged on two things at once. The store has to feel like the product, because at this price the site is the first thing a customer handles, and it has to sell as easily as any other, because a beautiful page that is hard to buy from loses the sale politely.

We build for brands at this price

Nour Hammour, Poppy Elder, Waldo, Ginny Litscher and Bordeaux12 sell outerwear, engagement rings, dive watches, hand-painted silk and vintage couture. Every one of those stores is judged before the product arrives, and we built them to hold up to that.

The picture carries the sale

A luxury product page is mostly photography. We build templates that give it the whole frame, keep the type and colour quiet around it, and still load quickly on a phone, where most of the browsing happens.

Every market set up properly

We set up international selling for Nour Hammour and Waldo, with markets, local pricing, duties and localisation, and Ginny Litscher’s store sells in eight markets. At this price a customer abroad should not meet a surprise at checkout.

How a luxury build runs

From the first photograph to the first order abroad

  1. Start from the product

How the range is bought: made to order, one of a kind, or a collection by season. The store’s structure follows that, not a theme demo.

  2. Design around the image

Product pages where the photography takes the frame and the type and colour stay quiet, tested on a phone before anything is signed off.

  3. Build, move and set up markets

The store on Shopify, with every old URL mapped where there is one, and local pricing, duties and currencies set for each market.

  4. Run it after launch

Paid media, email, search and conversion testing from the team that built it, so the finish holds in the months after launch.

A Paris outerwear label, sold around the world

Nour Hammour makes leather and tailored outerwear in Paris. At that price the coat is judged on the site before it arrives, so we built the store with the photography given the room it needs and kept everything around it quiet.

We set up their international selling as well: markets, local pricing, duties and localisation. Then we test the store for conversion and look after it day to day, on a retained relationship rather than a handover.

Vintage couture, one piece at a time

Bordeaux12 sells authenticated vintage Chanel, Dior and Givenchy, and every piece is the only one. We moved them from WordPress and WooCommerce to Shopify, with every old URL mapped before anything moved, and built the store on Horizon.

Because each piece sells once, the collections drop it the moment it sells. We made the brand to go with the store as well: the wordmark, its inverse and the favicon, matched to the type the store already used.

What a luxury store has to carry

The first impression

The whole frame for the image

Product and collection templates built around the photography, sized and served so they stay fast on a phone.

Type and colour held back

A quiet system around the product, so the piece is the only thing on the page that asks for attention.

The purchase

Price on application

Pieces that take an enquiry rather than an order at zero, as on Ginny Litscher’s store, where price-on-application work is locked against checkout.

One of a kind

Stock that sells once and leaves the page when it does, as on Bordeaux12, so nobody falls for a piece that has already gone.

Across markets

Local prices and duties

Markets, currencies and duties set so a customer abroad pays what the page said, and nothing at the door.

Search that travels

Markets set up so each country can be found in its own search results, not just reached from the home one.

A luxury design studio, or a team that builds and runs the store?

A specialist studio is the right call for some briefs, and we will say when yours is one. Here is where the two differ for a luxury brand selling on Shopify.

Question A luxury design studio A team that builds and runs it
Where the design is judged A presentation A real product page and checkout
Who builds it Often a second agency The team that designed it
Selling abroad Left to the build partner Markets, pricing and duties set up
After launch A handover Ads, email, search and testing
Campaign and print Often the core of the offer Not our main strength
Photography Sometimes art-directed in house Your shoot, given the room it needs

Jewellery ecommerce agency

Engagement rings set with unusual stones

Poppy Elder makes bespoke engagement rings set with unusual stones. A ring bought online is bought on close-up photography and on trust, so the store we built is led by close-up photography of each ring.

We run their paid ads, email and support on a retainer as well. For a considered purchase like this one, the email that reaches someone a week later matters as much as the page they first landed on.

Swiss dive watches, sold direct

Waldo sells Swiss-made automatic dive watches direct to the customer. We built the site, and we run their search and paid ads, so the watch is found by the people already looking for one and shown properly when they arrive.

We set up their international selling too, with markets, local pricing, duties and localisation. A watch sold direct across borders has to arrive with no surprise at the door, and that is decided in the store, not the courier.

How we work with you

A new build

A store designed around the product and how it is bought, from the first template.

A migration

Moving onto Shopify or a current theme, with every old URL mapped first.

Selling abroad

Markets, local pricing, duties and localisation, on a store you already have.

Ongoing partnership

Ads, email, search and testing after launch, from the team that built it.

Is this the right agency for your luxury brand?

We are a Shopify agency. We are most useful to a luxury brand whose online store is where the business happens, or needs to be.

Worth a conversation

  • You sell fashion, jewellery, watches or interiors at a luxury price
  • The store looks right and sells like a cheaper one would not
  • You sell abroad, or should, and the checkout is not ready
  • You want one team answerable for the build and what comes after

Probably not us, yet

  • You need a campaign, a shoot or print, more than a store
  • You sell only through stockists and department stores
  • You want a brochure site with no online checkout
Branding, for the identity itself

Luxury Shopify questions, answered

Are you a luxury ecommerce agency, or a Shopify agency that has luxury clients?

Both, and the distinction matters less than it sounds. We are a Shopify agency, and a large part of our work is for brands at a luxury price: Nour Hammour in Paris, Poppy Elder’s engagement rings, Waldo’s Swiss watches. A luxury ecommerce agency has to get two things right that a general one often does not: the store has to feel like the product, and the buying has to be as easy as a cheaper one.

Do you build jewellery ecommerce stores?

Yes. We built Poppy Elder’s store, which sells bespoke engagement rings set with unusual stones, and we run their paid ads, email and support. We also handle development and consultancy for Venyx World, a fine jewellery brand, and set up their international selling. Jewellery ecommerce turns on close-up photography and trust, so that is where the build spends its effort.

Can you move a luxury store to Shopify without losing search?

Yes. We moved Bordeaux12 from WordPress and WooCommerce to Shopify with every old URL mapped before anything moved, so the search equity went with the store. Each piece they sell is the only one, so the collections drop a piece the moment it sells rather than leaving a sold item on the page.

Do you run the marketing for luxury brands, or only the build?

Both, where it helps. We run paid ads, email and support for Poppy Elder, SEO and paid ads for Waldo, and conversion testing and support for Nour Hammour. The team that built the store is the one reading the numbers afterwards.

What does luxury website design need that a standard store does not?

Mostly restraint. Luxury website design gives the photograph the frame, keeps the type and colour quiet, and handles things a standard store rarely meets: price-on-application pieces, one-of-a-kind stock, and customers abroad who expect to pay exactly what the page said. None of that is decoration; it is how the store sells.

Do you build for luxury interiors and homeware brands too?

Yes. Cream Cornwall sells luxury coastal homewares online and across three shops, and Ebony Ivory Interiors sells luxury residential interiors direct, with in-store point of sale. Both stores lean on the same things as fashion and jewellery: the picture, the finish, and a purchase that is easy to make.

Send us the store, and what it should feel like

A link and a line on what is not working is plenty. We will come back with what we would change first, and whether it needs a rebuild at all.
