The Little Shop of Olive Oils

Client · build and marketing, now development and consultancy

Shopify agency USA

One Shopify team for US brands, from the first build onward.

We design, develop and market Shopify stores for US brands that sell online as their main business. Developers, designers, search, paid media, email and conversion specialists work in one team, so nothing gets handed to a subcontractor halfway through.

Everyone on a project has built and run ecommerce stores before, and the brief is measured in revenue rather than page count. We also run two stores of our own on the same stack, so our advice has already been tested with real customers and real spend.

The Little Shop of Olive Oils, in Franklin, Massachusetts, came to us for a build and still works with us on development and consultancy.

Shopify store support

Monthly support from developers who already know your code.

Support retainers for stores that need more than a ticket desk: theme and app updates that do not break checkout, fixes that stay fixed, and a senior developer available when something goes wrong. Speed work sits in the same team, so a slow page and a broken discount are handled by the same people.

Fittr Nutrition is one of our own brands, and it gets the same support plan we sell. That is the fairest test we know of whether a retainer earns its fee.

Every month ends with a written record of what was fixed and what we would do next, so you can see exactly what the retainer paid for.

Shopify SEO services

SEO for Google, and for the AI answers shoppers read first.

Technical audits, keyword and content work, and site structure changes that move rankings, across Shopify and Shopify Plus. We also optimize for the AI tools shoppers now ask before they search, so your store shows up in both places.

Black Sand had no storefront when it came to us and now sells worldwide, with search among the channels behind that growth. Waldo, a Swiss dive watch brand, runs its SEO and paid ads with us in a category where heritage names own the results.

The same people who build the store write the content and set the internal linking, so the fixes land in the theme rather than in a report nobody implements.

Shopify development company USA

Custom Shopify development: themes, apps and integrations.

Our developers write the Liquid, JavaScript and theme architecture themselves instead of stacking page builders. When a brand needs a custom theme we build one; when an existing theme is sound we extend it and tell you so.

Past the storefront we build private apps for workflows no public app handles, headless front ends where they are justified, and integrations with the ERP, 3PL and CRM you already run. Performance and technical SEO come with every build, not as an upsell.

Custom work is written to survive theme updates, and the developer who wrote it is the one who maintains it afterward.

Shopify web design

Shopify design built around how your customers shop.

Every design starts with research: your data, your competitors and where buyers drop off. Wireframes settle what each page has to do before any visual design, then your brand, photography and voice go on top of a structure that already converts.

The designer and the developer work side by side from the first sketch, so nothing is lost between a signed-off mockup and the live store. Designs are checked against your real products, not placeholder images.

Every template is drawn to a Core Web Vitals budget set before design begins, so a page that looks good is also a page that loads fast.

Shopify migration

Moving to Shopify without losing the traffic you have earned.

We move brands to Shopify and Shopify Plus from Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce, Wix and Squarespace. The usual reasons are lower running costs, hosting and PCI compliance handled for you, and a platform where a new feature is a setting rather than a development project.

What goes wrong is rarely the platform. It is a redirect map written the week of launch and product URLs that quietly changed. We treat search as part of the build, and the rest of the move too: Bessette brought its store, its domain and its Google Workspace email across with us.

Every old URL gets a mapped destination before launch, and we keep the redirect map ourselves rather than leaving it with a platform that will not be there afterward.

Shopify Plus agency

A Shopify Plus partner for the years after launch.

Our own stores run on Shopify Plus, so checkout extensibility, Shopify Functions, Markets and B2B are tools we have used with our own money before recommending them to you.

Most of our work continues as a retainer after launch, because that is when the growth happens. One team covers build, search, paid, email and CRO against a shared roadmap, with a senior contact who knows your store. Cream Cornwall came for a build and a migration and stays on as a consultancy partner.

And if a store does not need Plus yet, we will say so. The standard plan runs plenty of successful brands.

Klaviyo email marketing

Email and SMS that bring customers back for the next order.

Automated welcome, browse and cart flows, segments that treat a first-time buyer differently from a loyal one, and campaigns planned around what people actually bought. SMS goes out only where a message is worth the interruption.

We build it in Klaviyo and test it on Powerlete, our own activewear brand, before a client pays for it. Repeat revenue is the cheapest revenue a store has, and the easiest to neglect.

Flows get reviewed on a schedule rather than set and forgotten, because a flow nobody has looked at in a year still sends.

Selling internationally

Taking a US store into new markets without running two businesses.

Expanding abroad on Shopify starts with decisions, not code: one store with Markets or several, how prices and currencies behave in each region, what gets translated and which products should appear at all. Decide those well and the platform carries most of the load.

We set up Markets, pricing, duties and local payment methods so a store feels native in each country. Black Sand went from no storefront to selling worldwide, built for international buyers from day one.

Where a second storefront genuinely earns its keep, Shopify Plus expansion stores run it from the same organization rather than as a separate business.

WUKA

Client · build, conversion testing and ongoing support

Shopify CRO agency

Conversion testing that argues from your data.

We review your category and competitors, watch session recordings and heat maps, and read your purchase data, then rank test ideas by the revenue they could move rather than how quick they are to build. Every test starts with a hypothesis.

WUKA hired us to build its store and then run conversion testing on a product that needs explaining before anyone buys it. We run the same process on our own brands first, so we can tell you what actually worked.

How a project runs

Five stages, one team the whole way.

No handoff between a design shop and a build shop, which is where most of the cost and the compromises creep in. The people who scope your project are the people who ship it.

Scope. We start from the store you have and the numbers it already produces, and agree what the next stage has to deliver before anyone designs anything.

Design. Templates are drawn to a Core Web Vitals budget set up front, around how your buyers actually move through the store.

Build. The developers who scoped it write it, connected to the ERP, 3PL and CRM you already use, with sales tax and shipping configured for the states you sell into.

Launch. Redirects, structured data and search are handled before the switch, so your rankings move with you.

Grow. Conversion testing, paid media, email and support continue with the same team after launch.

Ways to work with us

A project, a retainer or a partner on call.

Most brands start with one of three shapes and move between them as the store grows. None of them comes with an account manager in the middle.

Project build. A fixed scope and a launch date: a new Shopify store, or a migration from Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Salesforce, designed, built and shipped.

Growth retainer. A standing team for design, development, CRO, paid and email on a monthly plan built around your roadmap. Knack Snacks, Poppy Elder and Nour Hammour work with us this way.

Consultancy partner. Your own team does the building; we advise on the platform, the channels and the next market, and step in where it helps. Cream Cornwall and Bessette work with us this way.

Colleagues working together around a table in a studio

Founder-led · One team · Own brands

Senior people, start to finish.

You work directly with the people doing the work, not an account manager passing notes along. The team that builds your store keeps running its search, ads and retention after launch, and the tactics it uses have already been tried on our own brands.

Our story

Partners

Apps we run on our own stores first.

Choosing apps is half the work on Shopify. We integrate the tools around the platform, among them Klaviyo for email and SMS, Gorgias for helpdesk, Loop for subscriptions and returns, Junip for reviews, Upstack Data for attribution and DataFeedWatch for product feeds. Each one runs on our own stores before we recommend it, so our advice comes from paying for it, not from a referral fee. If your current stack works, we connect to it rather than rebuilding it.

How we use them

Questions US brands ask us

Do you work in US dollars?

Yes. Quotes, contracts and invoices are all in USD, so there is no currency conversion on your side.

How quickly will we hear back?

Messages sent in your morning are answered the same day, and new enquiries get a reply within 24 hours. Anything urgent that arrives late in the day is picked up first thing the next working morning.

Will you set up US sales tax and shipping?

Yes, using Shopify’s own tax and shipping settings rather than a third-party app. Nexus, state rates and shipping zones are configured before launch rather than discovered after the first quarter.

Have you worked with US brands?

Yes. The Little Shop of Olive Oils in Franklin, Massachusetts, has worked with us for years, and Knack Snacks sells to customers across the US from the store we built. We would rather name the work than imply a longer list.

Can one agency handle the build and the marketing?

Yes, and it tends to work better. The landing page and the ad pointing at it are planned together, and nobody needs briefing twice. If a specialist would serve you better on one piece, we will tell you.

Will you take over a store another agency built?

Yes, often. We start with a handover and a performance baseline in the first month, which makes every month after it faster.

Do you only work with Shopify Plus brands?

No. We build on the standard Shopify plans too, and we will tell you when Plus is not worth the license fee yet.

How long does a Shopify build take?

It depends on the catalog and the integrations. We have shipped a bespoke build in seven days for a fashion show deadline, and larger Shopify Plus builds usually run eight to sixteen weeks, delivered in two-week increments on a staging theme so you see it moving.

Can we keep our own developer?

Yes. Some clients keep their in-house developers and use us for strategy, design or the parts their team does not cover. We work alongside them rather than replacing them.

What happens after launch?

The same team stays on it. Support, testing, paid media and email run as a retainer, so you keep the people who built the store rather than meeting a new team.

Can you fix a slow Shopify store?

Yes. Most slowdowns come from apps still loading script on every page long after anyone used them. We audit what loads, remove what is dead and defer what has to stay, then measure the result against the Core Web Vitals field data Google actually uses.

Do you work with B2B and wholesale brands?

Yes. We build trade stores where each approved buyer sees their own catalog and their own prices, as we did for Black Sand, and native B2B on Shopify Plus where the volume justifies it.

Can you set up subscriptions?

Yes. Knack Snacks was built subscription-first, with the frequency choice inside the product page rather than added to the checkout afterward.

Can you run our marketing without rebuilding the store?

Yes. Paid media, email and conversion testing can start on the store you have. If something in the store is costing you orders, we will show you where before suggesting a rebuild.

How do you report results?

Against revenue and contribution margin rather than clicks and impressions, with a written monthly review of what changed and what we would do next.

Do you work with businesses outside ecommerce?

Yes. For businesses that sell a service we build lead generation: the site, the tracking, the paid media and the funnel behind it.
