Web design & search · Logistics & haulage
Logistics marketing that brings the right enquiry in, not just traffic.
A logistics buyer is comparing capacity, lanes and reliability, usually before they ever fill in a form. The site has to answer those questions fast enough that the enquiry which does arrive is worth quoting on.
01 Why logistics and haulage firms work with us
The enquiry has to arrive quotable
A buyer who has found you usually knows the lane, the volume and the timeline already. A generic contact form throws all three away and turns a quotable enquiry into a phone call to get back what the visitor had typed once already. We build the form around what you actually need to quote.
We run a B2B distributor end to end
Black Sand sell beverage, snack and confectionery brands by the forty-foot container. We built the site in 2022, when they were trading over WhatsApp with no storefront at all, and we run the search, the lead generation and the paid ads behind it. B2B, long cycles, an enquiry rather than a checkout. Founder-led, 100+ builds across the UK and the US.
See that workTrust is capacity and reliability, not a logo wall
A buyer choosing a haulier or a 3PL is really asking whether you can actually cover the lane and the volume, on time, consistently. We build the site to answer that directly, coverage, fleet, capacity, rather than lean on generic trust badges that do not answer the question.
02 How a shipper checks capacity before they ever fill in a form
A logistics buyer is comparing capacity, lanes and reliability, and most of that comparison happens before you are contacted at all. Nothing here is a lead you buy from us. It is a machine you own: lanes and capabilities stated specifically, compliance where it can be checked, and an enquiry that reaches the right desk with the volume attached.
Lanes and capabilities are the whole answer
A buyer wants to know whether you run their route, at their volume, in their equipment. Countries, modes, fleet, warehousing, temperature control, hazardous. Stated specifically, because full-service logistics partner answers none of it.
Compliance and accreditations are checked, not skimmed
Operator licence, AEO, insurance, and the certifications specific to what moves. A buyer is confirming you can lawfully and safely carry their freight, and vagueness reads as a firm hoping not to be asked.
Search is by lane and by service, in small numbers
A route plus a mode, a warehousing type plus a region, a sector plus a service. Very low volume, very high value, and winnable precisely because the bigger competitors are chasing brand terms instead.
Reliability is a number, if you are willing to publish one
On-time percentage, damage rate, how long a claim takes to settle. Almost nobody in this sector publishes any of it, which is exactly why publishing something credible separates you from every other name on the shortlist.
The enquiry has to carry the volume and the lane
Origin, destination, mode, frequency, volume and any special requirement, asked at the enquiry, routes it to the right desk and lets the first reply be an indication rather than another set of questions.
03 The work
One live distributor moving goods by the container, and the exact scope we did on it. We built the trade store and run the search, the paid ads and the lead generation behind it.

Logistics marketing questions, answered
What experience do you have with logistics and haulage firms?
The work a haulier needs is the work we do: a site whose job is the enquiry rather than a checkout, ads that have to pay for themselves, and search that keeps the right work coming in. Black Sand is one of ours, a B2B distributor selling by the forty-foot container, where we built the site and run the search, the lead generation and the paid ads. Behind it sit 100+ builds across the UK and the US, founder-led, and two brands we run ourselves. Tell us how your quote requests and new accounts arrive today and we will show you where the site, the ads and the search move first.
Do you only build Shopify sites?
No. Shopify is where most of our work sits because most of our clients sell products online, and a logistics or haulage firm usually does not sell that way. We build on whatever fits the job. This site runs on Astro and Cloudflare, and the surfacing contractor runs on WordPress.
We quote per lane and per load. Can a website handle that?
The site itself does not need to price live in most cases; what it needs to do is capture enough detail, the lane, the volume, the frequency, the timeline, that your team can quote fast without a back-and-forth email first. We build the enquiry form around what you actually need to quote.
Our customers are other businesses, not the public. Does that change the site?
Yes, in tone and in what convinces them. A B2B logistics buyer wants capacity, coverage and reliability answered plainly, not a consumer-style pitch. We write and structure the site for the person actually placing freight, not a general audience.
Do you run search for logistics and haulage firms?
Yes. Logistics search terms are usually lower volume and more specific than consumer sectors, so a page written for the exact lane or service someone searches for is worth more than a broad campaign aimed at a generic term. Note that logistics seo as a phrase barely gets searched, roughly ten times a month on our own 2026-08-18 probe and falling, so the work here is the specific lane and service terms rather than the category word.
Do you run ads for haulage and logistics, and do they pay?
They pay when they are narrow. A search for a specific lane, a mode or a compliance requirement is a buyer with a problem today; a broad logistics campaign burns money on students, jobseekers and competitors. We would rather run a small set of specific terms with a phone number on the landing page than anything broad.
Should we build a tracking or customer portal?
Only if it changes how you win work, and sometimes it does. A portal is a real piece of software with real ongoing cost, so it is worth it when customers are choosing you partly on visibility and your competitors offer it, and not worth it when it would be a login nobody uses. We will tell you which one you are looking at.
Can you get us found for the service plus the region?
That is the target and it is the winnable shape. Generic logistics terms are contested by companies operating at a different scale; a mode plus a place, or a specialism plus a place, is a smaller search with a real customer behind it. It is months of work and it holds once it lands.
Our customers want case studies and compliance detail. Who writes that?
We do, from interviews with your operations people, and you approve every line. It is the part most logistics sites are missing and the part that closes business, because a customer moving a contract wants evidence you have done their shape of job before. Nothing gets published that your team has not signed off.
How do we know which enquiries came from the site?
Because we set it up so the enquiry is recorded with the search and the page behind it, and that record follows the deal into your CRM. In a sector with long tenders and quiet months, that is the difference between knowing the website is working and guessing.
Do you offer logistics website design specifically, or just marketing?
Both, and usually together. Logistics website design here means the enquiry form and the pages that get a buyer to it, not styling alone: the site has to answer capacity and coverage before anyone reaches for the phone. If you already have a site you are happy with and want the search and enquiry-capture work only, that is a smaller job and we will scope it as one.
