Shopify agency · Homeware & interiors
A Shopify agency that has built for homeware brands.
Stores for homeware that sell the room, not just the product.
(opens in a new tab) Homeware sells on photography, feel and the way a range is browsed, not on a spec sheet. We build Shopify stores for homeware and interiors brands that make the products the hero and keep the buying quick, and we have done it for a real brand across a website and three shops.
Certified Partner We build homeware stores around how a range is browsed and bought.
See the stores we have builtPhotography with room to breathe, collections that shop like a showroom, and a counter and a website on one catalogue.
All industriesWhy homeware brands work with us
A homeware ecommerce agency has to solve two problems at once. The product is bought on feel, so the photography carries the sale, and the business often sells in person too, so the stock has to be right in two places.
We have built a homeware brand end to end
Cream Cornwall sells luxury coastal homewares, interiors and gifts. We built their store on Horizon, migrated them off their old theme, and set the whole thing up ourselves rather than sending back a list of jobs. It is live and trading now.
Online and the shop floor, one system
We put Shopify POS in across their three shops, in Falmouth, St Ives and Bath, so the counter and the website run on one catalogue. For a brand that sells in person and online, that is the difference between one source of truth and two that drift.
Merchandising that respects the photography
A homeware range lives or dies on how it is photographed and browsed. We build collection and product templates that get out of the way of the imagery, so a lampshade or a throw looks the way it does in the shop, not flattened by a generic template.
How a homeware build runs
From the range to the shop floor
-
Read the range
How customers actually browse: by room, by collection, by gift. The structure of the store comes from that, not from a theme demo.
-
Design around the photography
Collection and product templates that give imagery the space it needs, and still load quickly on a phone.
-
Build and migrate
The store on Shopify, with products, customers, orders and redirects moved across so search and repeat customers survive the switch.
-
Connect the shops
Shopify POS on the counter where there is one, so the shop floor and the website run on the same catalogue.
One homeware brand, online and in three shops
Homeware ecommerce agency
A coastal homeware brand, rebuilt on Horizon
Cream Cornwall sells handcrafted lampshades, cushions, throws and home fragrance drawn from Cornish folklore and the coastline. They came to us on an older theme, and we moved them onto Horizon, running the migration end to end ourselves.
Where something needed doing, we did it rather than sending back a list. That included the domain and company email, which moved onto Google Workspace alongside the store.
Home decor ecommerce
Three shops and a website on one catalogue
The same brand trades across three shops, in Falmouth, St Ives and Bath. We put Shopify POS on every counter, so a cushion sold in St Ives comes off the same stock count the website reads.
We also advised on selling internationally, and they took it up. It is in place and running now, and we stay on as their consultancy partner rather than handing over and leaving.
Furniture and homeware website design
What a homeware store has to carry
The photography
Room for the image
Templates that let a lampshade or a throw fill the frame, instead of sitting small inside a grid built for T-shirts.
Fast on a phone anyway
Large imagery, sized and served properly, so the page still loads quickly where most homeware browsing happens.
The browse
Collections that shop like a showroom
By room, by collection, by gift. Filters for size, colour and material where the range needs them, and nowhere else.
Gifting that works
Gift messages, gift cards and clear delivery dates, because homeware is often bought as a gift.
The shop floor
One catalogue
Shopify POS on the counter, so stock, orders and customers stay in one place across the shops and the site.
Selling abroad
Markets, currencies and duties set up properly when the brand is ready to ship outside the UK.
A generic theme, or a store built around the range?
A theme off the shelf is the right start for some brands, and we will say so when it is yours. Here is where the two differ for homeware.
| Question | A generic theme | A store built around the range |
|---|---|---|
| Photography | Cropped to fit the grid | Given the room it needs |
| Browsing | One collection list | By room, collection and gift |
| Shops and site | Two systems kept in step by hand | One catalogue through Shopify POS |
| Migration | Often left to the brand | Run end to end, redirects included |
| Upfront cost | Lower | Higher, and scoped to what earns it |
| Time to launch | Days | Weeks |
Interiors and home fragrance
Ebony Ivory Interiors
Store build with Shopify POS
Interiors ecommerce agency
Luxury interiors, sold direct and in person
Ebony Ivory Interiors sells luxury residential interiors direct to the customer. We built their Shopify store, including the in-store point of sale, so the shop counter and the website sell from one system.
Interior design ecommerce is judged on the picture before the price. The build gives each piece room to be seen, and keeps the route to buying it short.
Lifestyle Home Collection
Homewares store build
Homeware website design
Home fragrance that has to sell on a screen
Lifestyle Home Collection sells home fragrance and diffusers direct. Scent cannot travel through a screen, so the store we built leans on photography of the product in a room, where it will actually live.
It was a focused build, done and handed over. Not every homeware brand needs a retained team, and we would rather scope the job that fits than sell one that does not.

How we work with you
A new build
Launching or rebuilding the store, designed around the range and how it is shopped.
A migration
Moving onto Shopify or onto a current theme without losing search or repeat customers.
Shops and site together
Shopify POS added where the brand sells in person, on the same catalogue.
Ongoing partnership
Development, conversion and consultancy after launch, from the team that built it.
Is this the right agency for your homeware brand?
We are a Shopify agency. We build and run stores, and we are most useful where the store is the business rather than a side channel.
Worth a conversation
- You sell homeware, interiors or home fragrance direct, online
- You also sell in a shop and the stock keeps drifting
- The photography is good and the store makes it look ordinary
- You are on an older theme or another platform and want to move
Probably not us, yet
- You need a marketplace listing rather than your own store
- You want a catalogue site with no online checkout
- The store works and the problem is traffic alone

Homeware & interiors Shopify questions, answered
Do you specialise in homeware and interiors Shopify stores?
We build across sectors, but homeware and interiors is one we know first hand. We built and migrated Cream Cornwall, a luxury coastal homewares brand, and run their online store and three shops on one Shopify system. A homeware ecommerce agency has to think about the shop floor as well as the storefront, and an interiors ecommerce agency has to make a photograph carry a room rather than a product.
Can you connect our shops and our website on one system?
Yes. We set up Shopify POS for Cream Cornwall across Falmouth, St Ives and Bath, so the counter and the storefront run on the same catalogue rather than two systems kept in step by hand. Stock, orders and customers stay in one place.
Can you migrate our homeware store onto Shopify without losing rankings?
Yes. We run migrations end to end, including the redirects and the on-page work that protect your search rankings through the switch. We moved Cream Cornwall off an older theme onto Horizon, Shopify’s current architecture, with the whole migration handled by us.
Do product-led homeware brands need a bespoke build?
Not always. Homeware sells on photography, feel and browsing, so the work is usually less about custom code and more about merchandising, collection structure and speed. We start from how the range is shopped, then build only the bespoke pieces that earn their place.
Do you build for furniture and interior design brands, or only smaller homeware?
Both. We built the Shopify store for Ebony Ivory Interiors, which sells luxury residential interiors, including its in-store point of sale. Furniture website design and interior design ecommerce share the same problem as smaller homeware: the customer is buying how a piece looks in a room, so the photography and the browse carry most of the sale.
How do you handle home decor ecommerce for gifting seasons?
By building gifting into the store rather than bolting it on in November: gift messages, gift cards, clear delivery cut-off dates and collections a shopper can buy for someone else. Home decor ecommerce leans heavily on gifting, so it belongs in the build.
Send us the store, and what it should be doing
A link and a line on what is not working is plenty. We will come back with what we would change first, and whether it needs a rebuild at all.
