Web design & search · Flooring

Web, ads and search for flooring companies.

A flooring company is booked off a measure and a quote, not a checkout. The site, the ads and the search exist to turn a search into that appointment, and to show which one paid for it.

01 Why flooring companies work with us

One team for the site, the ads and the search

A flooring firm does not want a web designer, an ads agency and an SEO supplier pointing at each other when the enquiries dry up. We do the flooring marketing as one job: we build the site, run the Google and Meta ads and do the search work behind them, so the click you paid for lands on a page built to book a measure. Founder-led, 100+ builds across the UK and the US.

The booked measure is the metric, not the visit

Nothing sells online here, so a session count tells you nothing useful. We instrument the enquiry and the call and attribute each back to the search or ad that produced it, so you can see which spend filled the diary.

This is a visual sale, and most flooring sites waste it

A customer choosing between engineered oak and LVT is buying a look, and a gallery of tiny compressed photos loses that sale to a showroom. We build the site so the work is shown properly and still loads fast on a phone in a car park.

02 How a floor gets chosen, measured and booked

Flooring is chosen from samples and won on the measure, and the price is decided by square metres nobody has counted yet. Nothing here is a lead you buy from us. It is a machine you own: a site that shows the ranges properly, search that catches a room and a material together, and a measure appointment that is already half a quote.

  1. The ranges have to be browsable, because that is what the visit is for

People shop flooring the way they shop a kitchen: by looking, repeatedly, before contacting anyone. Ranges shown by room and by material with honest per-metre pricing turn a site into the showroom visit, and the ones who then get in touch have already chosen.

  2. Commercial contract work is a separate sale

Safety flooring for a school, vinyl for a surgery or carpet tiles for an office is bought on specification, lead time and who can fit it out of hours. It shares a trade with the domestic work and nothing else, so it wants its own route rather than a mention.

  3. Search catches the room and the material together

Almost nobody searches for flooring. They search for a material, in a room, in a town, and those combinations are winnable locally where the broad terms belong to national retailers with a warehouse behind them.

  4. Ads run where you beat the sheds on service, not on price

Competing on price against a national chain is a losing auction. Paid pointed at fitting, at supply and fit together, and at the materials you actually hold, buys the enquiries where a local fitter is the better answer.

  5. The measure is the quote, so it gets protected

A measure costs a visit and the price comes out of it. Rooms, rough area, subfloor, whether the old floor is coming up and when they want it laid, asked on the form, means the appointment produces a number rather than a second appointment.

  6. Resin flooring is an industrial sale and it does not belong on the showroom page

Resin is specified for warehouses, kitchens and workshops on load, slip rating and downtime, not on how it looks in a lounge. Resin flooring marketing needs the specification detail and an honest closure window, and it converts on entirely different proof from the domestic side. Floor fitter marketing that mixes the two dilutes both.

Flooring marketing questions, answered

What experience do you have with flooring companies?

The work a flooring firm needs is the work we do: a site whose job is the booked measure rather than a checkout, ads that have to pay for themselves, and search that keeps the right work coming in. What we do is the whole engine: Google Ads and Meta for the enquiries you need this month, SEO for the ones that keep arriving without a media budget behind them, and a funnel between the two that brings the cost per lead down and qualifies what reaches your team. It connects to the CRM you already run, so a lead is tracked rather than retyped, and it is built as a foundation you can scale on rather than something that breaks at three times the volume. Founder-led, 100+ builds across the UK and the US. Tell us how your quotes arrive today and we will show you where the site, the ads and the search move first.

Do you do ads as well as the website and SEO?

Yes, and for a flooring firm the three are one job. Flooring company marketing that separates the site, the paid media and the search into three suppliers is how a slow quarter becomes an argument. We run them together. Marketing for flooring companies in the US goes under flooring contractor marketing, and we plan for both markets rather than assuming one.

We have a showroom. Does the site still matter?

It matters more, because the site is what decides whether anyone walks into the showroom. Most people choose where to visit from a phone before they leave the house, so the job of the site is to make yours the one worth the trip and to make the address and opening hours impossible to miss.

Do you do lead generation, or do you sell leads?

We build the lead generation, we do not resell leads. Quote comparison sites sell the same room to several fitters and the conversation opens on price rather than on what the customer actually wants underfoot. Your own site, ads and search produce enquiries that belong to you.

Should the website show a price per square metre?

A range does more good than harm. Most flooring enquiries start with someone who has no idea whether their lounge is six hundred pounds or three thousand, and a page that gives them a bracket loses you the jobs you did not want while making the rest easier to close. A single headline rate is the version that backfires, because every quote after it looks like a markup.

We do supply-only and supply-and-fit. Should the site separate them?

Yes, and it is one of the few structural decisions worth getting right first. They are different buyers searching different things, and a page that tries to serve both ends up quoting fitting costs at someone who has their own fitter. Two clear routes from the homepage, and the search work can then target each on its own terms.

Can people request samples or book a home measure on the site?

Yes, and for flooring it is usually the single highest-value thing to build. A sample request is a warm enquiry with an address attached, and a measure booking is most of the way to a sale. Both are straightforward to add, and both give you something countable, which matters when you are judging whether the ads paid.

Can you get us ranking for flooring plus our town?

That is the target, and it is a realistic one. Local flooring terms are a great deal less contested than the national ones, and the map pack is often reachable inside a few months on profile completeness and reviews alone. The website side is slower, and anyone giving you a date for it is guessing.

Do we need photographs of our own work?

Yes, and they are worth more than the copy. Stock flooring photography is recognisable at a glance and it quietly tells the visitor you have nothing of your own to show. Phone photos of real rooms you have fitted, shot in daylight, outperform a library subscription every time.

What should we spend on ads, and where?

Google first, because flooring demand is people already looking rather than people who need persuading. Start small enough that a bad month is survivable and large enough to learn something, keep it on the terms that name a room or a product, and judge it on booked measures rather than clicks. Social has a place later, for showing finished rooms, not for catching a live search.

Do you only build Shopify sites?

No. Shopify is where most of our work sits because most of our clients sell products online. If you do sell flooring online as well as fitting it, that is squarely what we do; if you do not, we build on whatever fits the job. This site runs on Astro and Cloudflare.
