Web design & search · Automotive
Automotive web design that turns a visit into a booking.
A dealer, garage or detailer wins on trust and speed: can the visitor see what is actually available, and can they book or enquire without a phone call being the only option. We build sites around the booking or enquiry, not just the listing.
01 Why automotive businesses work with us
The booking is the conversion, not the browse
A visitor comparing garages or dealers has usually already decided roughly what they want; what stops them is friction in getting a slot booked or a question answered. Web development here means building the booking or enquiry path first and putting the vehicle listings around it, not the other way round.
One team for the site, the ads and the search
A dealer, garage or detailer does not want three suppliers to referee. We build the site, run the Google and Meta ads, and do the search work behind it, so the click the ads paid for lands on a page built to convert, wired into the CRM you already run so a lead is tracked rather than retyped. Built to hold as you scale it, across the UK and the US.
See that workStock that is actually current
Nothing loses trust faster than a listing for a vehicle that sold last week. Where stock changes, we connect the site to whatever system already tracks it rather than leaving updates to someone remembering to edit a page.
02 How a car search and a service booking arrive differently
Stock is compared on a marketplace that charges you to sit on its shelf. Servicing is booked by somebody who never opens one. Nothing here is a lead you buy from us. It is a machine you own: stock pages worth arriving at, a service booking that finishes without a phone call, and search that reaches both.
Your own stock pages have to be worth arriving at
A marketplace listing has twenty photographs and a price, and so does everybody else on the page. Your own can carry the history, a walkaround, the warranty, the part exchange and the person selling it. Without that there is no reason for anyone to leave the marketplace.
Servicing and repair is the recurring half, and it is local search
MOTs, servicing and repairs are bought locally, repeatedly, and never through a marketplace. Booking online without a phone call, prices stated, the courtesy car question answered. That is steady revenue almost nobody in this trade markets properly.
Search covers what the marketplace is not showing
Somebody searching a model plus a town, or a fault plus a make, has not opened a marketplace and may never. Those terms are winnable and they land on you rather than on a shelf beside fifteen competitors.
Ads defend your name and fill the ramp
Your own name is being bid on by marketplaces and aggregators, and buying it back is the cheapest traffic in the account. After that, paid on servicing and MOT terms inside your radius fills the diary in a way stock advertising rarely does.
The enquiry should tell you the vehicle and the intent
The vehicle, whether there is a part exchange, whether finance is wanted, and whether this is a sale or a service, asked at the enquiry, means the callback is already the right conversation and the right person is making it.

Automotive web design questions, answered
What experience do you have with automotive businesses?
The work a dealer, garage or detailer needs is the work we do: a site whose job is the enquiry rather than a checkout, ads that have to pay for themselves, and search that keeps the right work coming in. What we do is the whole engine: Google Ads and Meta for the enquiries you need this month, SEO for the ones that keep arriving without a media budget behind them, and a funnel between the two that brings the cost per lead down and qualifies what reaches your team. It connects to the CRM you already run, so a lead is tracked rather than retyped, and it is built as a foundation you can scale on rather than something that breaks at three times the volume. Founder-led, 100+ builds across the UK and the US. Tell us how your sales enquiries and bookings arrive today and we will show you where the site, the ads and the search move first.
Do you only build Shopify sites?
No. Shopify is where most of our work sits because most of our clients sell products online, and a dealer or garage usually does not sell that way. We build on whatever fits the job. This site runs on Astro and Cloudflare, and the surfacing contractor runs on WordPress.
Can you connect the site to our stock or booking system?
Usually, yes. Most dealer management and booking systems have a feed or an API, and we would rather connect to the one you already use than build a second place for someone to update stock by hand. What is possible depends on which system you run, which is the first thing we would ask.
We sell used vehicles as well as new. Does the site need to handle both differently?
Often, yes, because the buyer’s question is different: a new-vehicle visitor is usually comparing trims and finance, a used-vehicle visitor wants to know the exact car’s condition and history. We would structure the two paths separately rather than force one template to answer both.
Do you run search or paid media for automotive businesses?
Yes. Local and "near me" search matters more here than in most sectors, since most enquiries come from people who have already decided roughly where to look. We would scope it around your actual catchment rather than a generic national campaign. Automotive seo is the only term in this tree our own probe measured as High competition, and car dealership seo sits alongside it, so this is a sector where we would rather show you the numbers before you commit a budget.
Do you work as an automotive marketing agency, or only on the build?
Both. Automotive digital marketing agency work here usually means keeping stock feeds, local search and paid all pointing at the same inventory, which is harder than it sounds when the feed updates hourly. Car dealer website design that ignores that ships a site the marketing then fights.
Do you run ads for garages and dealers, and where do they pay?
We do. For a garage the money is in the fixed-price, high-frequency jobs, MOTs, servicing, tyres, cambelts, because the intent is immediate and the click is cheap. For a dealer it is the stock itself, which is a different kind of campaign driven by your feed rather than by keywords, and it needs the stock data to be clean before it will work at all.
Can customers book an MOT or a service online?
Yes, and for a garage it is the thing worth building first. An MOT is a fixed price on a known slot, so it needs no phone call, and every one booked online is a vehicle on record for the work that follows. Bookings taken at nine in the evening are the ones you are currently losing.
Can you get us ranking for garage or MOT plus our town?
That is the target and it is genuinely winnable. Vehicle service searches are local by nature, the map pack does most of the work, and it rewards reviews, opening hours and a complete profile more than it rewards a large website. It is one of the faster sectors to see movement in.
Is car dealership web design different to a garage or detailer site?
Materially, yes. A dealership site is a stock listing with a booking path bolted on, and its whole problem is currency. A garage or detailer sells time rather than vehicles, so the same layout wastes the fold on inventory nobody is browsing.
Are you an automotive web design agency, or do you build for one type of business in the sector?
Both, and the distinction matters less than it sounds. An automotive web design agency running one fixed template across the sector fits a dealer badly and a detailer worse. The booking-first approach above holds whether you are a dealer, a garage or a detailer; what changes between them is the enquiry we build the page around.
Can you remarket to people who browsed stock but never booked or enquired?
Yes, and on a vehicle purchase it usually matters more than the first ad did. Most buyers compare a few dealers or garages before deciding, so we set up remarketing to the people who already looked at your stock rather than only chasing new visitors.
