Website Maintenance
Kept working, by a named developer.
(opens in a new tab) A site nobody maintains does not stay still, it decays. Plugins drift out of support, forms quietly stop delivering, and the page that used to load in a second takes four. We keep sites working on a monthly plan with a named developer and an agreed response time, whether or not we built the thing.

Certified, not badge-only We keep websites working for businesses across the UK and the US.
Read the case studiesWe run maintenance as a monthly plan with a named developer and a written response time, on sites we built and on plenty we did not. Most of our work is Shopify and the same people do this, which means the checks that matter on a store, speed and whether the journey actually completes, get applied to a site where the enquiry is the conversion instead.
Our servicesWebsite maintenance plans
How we pick up a site we did not build
Most of what we look after we did not build, so a plan starts with reading rather than fixing.
-
Handover
We take a proper look at what you have: the platform, the plugins, the hosting, the analytics, and whatever documentation exists. Most sites we inherit have none, which is fine, but it means the first month is reading rather than fixing.
-
Set the Baseline
Speed, uptime, and whether the forms actually deliver, recorded before we change anything. Without a baseline there is no way to show the plan is doing something, and no way to catch a regression.
-
Work the Plan
Updates tested on a preview, fixes as they come up, and the routine checks that stop the small things becoming the big ones. You get told what changed rather than having to ask.
-
Review Monthly
What was used, what changed, what we are watching. If you consistently do not use the plan we will say so and suggest a smaller one, because a support plan billing for nothing is the easiest revenue in this industry and the fastest way to lose a client.
Keep the enquiries arriving
On a site that takes enquiries rather than orders, the form is the revenue, and it fails without telling anyone.
Smart Surfacing Solutions
Site, tracking, paid media and the lead funnel
Website support
A contractor’s site where the enquiry is the sale
Smart Surfacing Solutions lays tarmac and resin for roads, driveways and car parks. Nothing on the site adds to a cart. It sells jobs, and a job starts with an enquiry, so the only question worth watching is whether somebody who arrived picked up the phone.
We redesigned the site they already had rather than moving it, and put tracking behind it so each enquiry traces back to the ad, the search or the page that produced it. It is live, and the site, the search and the paid media still run through us.
Meta Mortgages
Site build and a consultancy partnership
Website support services
A regulated broker’s site, never simply handed over
Meta Mortgages is a UK mortgage brokerage working with first-time buyers. Nothing is sold on the site. Its job is to get somebody to a conversation with a broker, earlier than most brokers manage it.
It is also a regulated firm, so a financial promotion is signed off before it runs, and what the site may say changes more often than most. We built it and stayed on as their consultancy partner rather than handing it over and walking away.
Natalie's Heating Service
Site build and organic search
Website maintenance UK
A sole trader’s move, planned around her inbox
Natalie is a Gas Safe heating engineer covering Bromley and the towns around it, on her own. She was on Wix, and her business email ran on the same DNS zone as the site, so a move that got the website right and the mail records wrong would have stopped her receiving work.
Every record that had to survive the cutover was written down first and checked against the zone, not trusted from memory. The new site went live on 8 September 2026, and we run the search work behind it.

What a maintenance plan covers
Hiring a website maintenance agency should buy something you can count. A plan buys a fixed block of developer hours, an agreed response time, and a written record each month of what was used. What those hours go on is the list below, in roughly the order it tends to matter.
Keeping it working
The forms are the revenue
On a site that takes enquiries rather than orders, a broken contact form is a broken business, and it fails silently. Nobody gets an error. The enquiries just stop. We test the whole path on a schedule, from submit through to the message arriving where somebody will read it.
Updates tested before they land
Platform and plugin updates go onto a preview first, not straight onto the live site on a Friday afternoon. Most of what breaks a working website is a routine update nobody checked, applied automatically, discovered by a customer.
Keeping it fast
Speed measured, not assumed
Core Web Vitals checked monthly against a budget agreed for your site, using the field data Google actually ranks on rather than a lab score. Speed decays gradually, which is why it is almost never noticed until it is expensive.
Keeping it safe
Security and access
Certificates, platform patches, and an audit of who still has admin access. The most common security problem on a small site is not an attack, it is a developer who left two years ago and still has a login.
Keep it moving
A plan is a block of hours with a response time, and the hours go on moving the site forward as well as keeping it standing.
Givino
Site development, SEO and testing
Website maintenance packages
A year of hours, agreed up front and used
Givino is an independent wine, gin and spirit shop in Frome, with a shop floor and a tasting room. It sells online and to people standing at the bar, and the two are the same business rather than two channels that share a name.
Our work for Givino runs on a signed twelve-month agreement: development and search support against a fixed block of hours each month, with a full rebuild in progress. A retainer with hours on it, rather than a vague relationship and an invoice.
Website maintenance cost, UK
A plan, or paying by the incident
What people are usually pricing when they look for website maintenance uk-side is one of three things: website support on its own, website maintenance packages that bundle a block of hours, or full website management services where somebody else owns the whole thing. We do the middle one by default. Our website maintenance plans buy a fixed block of developer time with a written response time, and the website maintenance cost uk businesses actually pay tracks how much the site changes rather than how big it is. If what you want is website support and maintenance on a per-incident basis we will quote that too, though we will usually argue against it, and website support services billed by the hour tend to mean the small jobs never get raised.
| What happens | By the incident | On a monthly plan |
|---|---|---|
| Who picks it up | Whoever is free that week | A named developer who knows the site |
| Response time | Whenever somebody is free | Written into the plan |
| Small problems | Left, because raising them feels expensive | Raised, because they are already paid for |
| Enquiry forms | Found broken when somebody mentions it | Tested end to end on a schedule |
| Updates | Applied automatically, found by a customer | Tried on a preview first |
| Speed | Checked after a complaint | Measured monthly against a budget |
| Admin access | Whoever ever had a login | Audited, and old logins removed |
| End of the month | An invoice | A written record of what was used |
Keep it off your desk
Some businesses do not want a developer on call. They want the whole thing owned by somebody else.
Seko Logistics
Build and support, white-labelled
Website management services
Sites run for somebody else’s clients, under their name
Seko Logistics is a global freight forwarder and ecommerce fulfilment provider. They subcontract us to build and support the stores they run for their own clients, so the work is real and continuous and none of it carries our name.
That is the arrangement at its fullest. The client relationship is theirs, keeping the sites working is ours, and the business at the far end deals with one supplier rather than two.

From start to finish, they were incredibly easy to work with. They understood the brief perfectly and delivered to a very high standard. Communication was excellent throughout, with quick and clear responses to any questions I had.

How we work with you
A monthly plan
A fixed block of developer hours with a written response time, and a named developer who already knows the site. The default, and what most businesses want.
MonthlyAlongside your own developer
They own the roadmap and we own the things that break. Those two jobs interrupt each other badly when one person holds both, so the split is written down rather than assumed.
SharedA one-off fix
Something has already broken and you do not want a retainer. We will quote the fix, and if the honest answer is that you need a plan rather than a call, that is the reply you get.

Why businesses hand the site to us to look after
Worth a conversation
- Enquiries have gone quiet and nobody can say why
- The developer who built it has moved on and still has a login
- Updates are applied automatically, or not at all
- The site has got slower and nobody can say when
Probably not this, yet
- One thing is broken and you want it fixed, not a plan
- The site itself is the problem, not the upkeep
- It is static and nothing depends on it
- It is a Shopify store

Tools we have already run on our own stores
The apps around a Shopify store decide as much as the theme does, and choosing between thousands of them is most of the work. We are a Shopify Plus Partner and we integrate the tools that sit around the platform. Every one of them runs on our own two stores before it reaches a client, so the recommendation you get comes from having paid for the thing and lived with it. When a brand already runs a stack that works, we integrate with it rather than rebuilding it to suit us.
How we use themStraight answers
What do your website maintenance services include?
Updates tried on a preview first, enquiry forms tested end to end, speed measured against a budget, certificates and patches kept current, and an audit of who still has admin access. All on a fixed block of developer hours with a written response time.
Will you look after a website you did not build?
Yes, and most of what we look after we did not build. The first month is a handover: we read the platform, the hosting, the analytics and whatever documentation exists, and we record a baseline before we change anything. That month is slower, and it is the one that makes the rest of them quick.
How much does website maintenance cost in the UK?
There is no honest number to put on a page, because the cost tracks how much a site changes rather than how big it is. We quote after the handover look. And if your site is genuinely static and nothing depends on it, you do not need a plan, and we will tell you that instead of selling you one.
We run a Shopify store. Is this the right page?
No. Take the Shopify maintenance and support plan instead, which covers theme and app territory this one does not. The same people run both.
