Shopify agency · Glasgow Commerce, Crafted.

We design, build and grow Shopify stores for brands across Glasgow and central Scotland, from one senior UK team that also runs two stores of its own. We are not based in Glasgow, and the work does not depend on it.

Tested on our own stores first.

Two of the Shopify stores we work on belong to us, so the advice a Glasgow brand gets has already been paid for with our own money and our own customers.

Run & Advise

Monthly support for a live store and senior advice on the bigger calls, from a one-off audit to a standing partnership.

Shopify agency Glasgow

Shopify in Glasgow, built to sell beyond Scotland.

Scottish brands sell beyond Scotland earlier than most UK brands, because the home market is smaller and the export story is stronger. That moves multi-currency pricing, international shipping and duties up the list at a stage when a brand further south would still be selling at home.

We plan for that from the first workshop, and the same senior UK team then designs, builds and markets the store, so the decisions made at the start are still understood a year later.

Black Sand shows the pattern: it began with no storefront and now sells worldwide, and we built it a trade store where every approved buyer sees their own catalogue and prices.

Shopify support and maintenance

A retainer with developers who have already read your code.

Monthly support for stores that sell in more than one market: app and theme updates checked on a staging copy before they touch checkout, currency and tax settings kept in order, and a senior developer to call when something fails.

Fittr Nutrition, one of our own stores, gets the same monthly care a client store gets, which is a fair test of whether the retainer earns its fee.

Each month closes with a written note of what changed and what deserves attention next.

Shopify SEO and GEO

Search that finds buyers in Scotland and far beyond it.

Technical audits, keyword research, content and site structure on Shopify and Shopify Plus, with the international side done properly: each market version indexed and aimed at the searches people make there. We also work on the AI assistants shoppers now consult first, so a buyer who asks one for a recommendation hears your name.

Waldo, a Swiss dive watch brand, runs both its SEO and its paid media with us.

Because the team that built the theme also writes the content and the internal links, each recommendation ends up as a change to the live store.

Shopify developers Glasgow

Liquid, apps and integrations, written by our own developers.

Every theme we ship is written in Liquid and JavaScript by our in-house developers, with no page builder underneath. Some brands need a bespoke theme and some need a sound one extended well, and we will tell you which applies before quoting.

Selling abroad adds its own development work: private apps for the processes no public app covers, per-market logic in the theme, and integrations with the ERP, 3PL and CRM your business already runs on.

When Shopify updates the platform, the person maintaining your custom code is the one who wrote it.

Shopify web design

Designed for the buyer at home and the one abroad.

Selling beyond the UK early changes what the store has to do on day one. Currency, duties and the delivered price are build decisions, and each one costs far more to add once the store is live.

Design starts from your analytics and the pages where shoppers leave, then wireframes decide what each template must do for a buyer at home and one overseas, including how price, delivery time and returns are shown to each.

Your brand, photography and tone of voice go onto that structure afterwards, drawn to a page-weight budget agreed at the outset so the page still loads quickly on a phone in another country.

Shopify migration

Replatforming to Shopify with every market, customer and ranking intact.

We bring brands onto Shopify and Shopify Plus from Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce, Wix and Squarespace. For a brand already selling abroad, the delicate part is everything tied to a market: prices in each currency, tax settings, localised URLs and the customers who buy in each one.

Search traffic is lost through redirect maps left until launch week and product URLs that change without anyone checking, so every old address has a mapped destination before we switch over.

Bessette, a luxury fashion brand, brought its store, domain and Google Workspace email across with us, and Cream Cornwall moved off its old theme.

Ecommerce agency Glasgow

Shopify Plus when a second market makes the case for it.

Powerlete and Fittr Nutrition both run on Shopify Plus, so Markets, checkout extensibility, Shopify Functions and B2B are features we have paid for ourselves before recommending them to anyone.

A Glasgow brand selling mainly in the UK can stay on standard Shopify, and we will say that plainly. Once duties, a trade channel or several currencies make checkout the bottleneck, Plus earns its fee.

After launch the same team can stay on as a monthly retainer, with one senior contact across build, search, paid media, email and CRO.

Klaviyo email and SMS

Email and SMS that bring a customer abroad back for another order.

Welcome, browse and abandoned cart flows that run by themselves, segments split by market so a buyer overseas sees prices and delivery promises that apply to them, and campaigns built on what each customer has bought. SMS goes only to people who asked for it, and only when the message is worth the interruption.

New flows run on Powerlete, our own activewear brand, before any client is charged for them.

Knack Snacks was built subscription-first, with the delivery frequency chosen on the product page, which is where retention starts for a brand selling a repeat purchase.

Selling beyond Scotland

Taking a Glasgow brand overseas without doubling the workload.

Going international on Shopify starts with choices: one store running Markets or separate storefronts, how each currency is priced and rounded, which pages get translated, and which products can realistically reach which countries.

We configure Markets, local pricing, duties at checkout and local payment methods so a buyer abroad sees a delivered price with no surprise charge at the door.

Black Sand had no storefront when it started and now sells worldwide. Where a separate storefront does earn its keep, Shopify Plus expansion stores hold it inside the same organisation.

Client · build, conversion testing and ongoing support

Shopify CRO

Finding where an overseas shopper stops before paying.

We read your order data, watch session recordings and heatmaps, and study the category, then rank tests by the revenue each could move. For a brand selling across borders, the first places we look are delivery cost, duties messaging and the currency shown at checkout.

WUKA had us build its store and then run conversion testing on a product that needs explaining before anyone buys. Our own brands go through the same testing before we propose it to a client.

How a project runs

Five stages, run by the people who scoped them.

Remote work holds together only when nothing is lost between teams, so the people who scope a Glasgow project are the ones who design, build and grow it.

Scope. We start with your current store, its numbers and the markets you sell into or plan to, and agree what the next stage must deliver before any design begins.

Design. Templates are drawn to a performance budget, with price, delivery and returns information shaped for each market you sell in.

Build. Work ships in two-week stages on a staging theme you can review from Glasgow, connected to your ERP, 3PL and CRM, with Markets, tax and duties configured correctly.

Launch. Redirects, structured data and each market version are checked before the switch, so existing rankings carry over.

Grow. Testing, paid media, email and support continue with the same team once the store is live.

Ways to work with us

A project, a monthly retainer or senior advice.

Brands start with one of three arrangements and can move between them as they grow, and all three keep you in direct contact with the people doing the work.

Project build. A fixed scope and launch date for a new Shopify store or a migration. Larger Shopify Plus builds run eight to sixteen weeks, and one bespoke build shipped in seven days for a fashion show.

Growth retainer. A standing team for design, development, CRO, paid media and email on a monthly plan, the arrangement Poppy Elder and Nour Hammour have with us.

Consultancy partner. Your team builds and we advise on the platform, the channels and the next market, stepping in where it helps. Cream Cornwall has worked with us this way since its build.

Why Glasgow brands work with us

You speak directly to the people doing the work, with no account manager in between. The team that builds the store stays on its search, paid media and retention afterwards, and every tactic has been run on our own brands before it reaches yours.

Our story

Partners

Apps we run on our own stores before recommending them.

Choosing apps is a large part of any Shopify project, and a brand selling in several markets needs each one to cope with more than one currency and language. We work with Klaviyo for email and SMS, Gorgias for customer service, Loop for subscriptions and returns, Junip for reviews, Upstack Data for attribution and DataFeedWatch for product feeds. Each one runs on our own stores first, so a recommendation reflects what we have paid for and used. Where your current stack does the job, we connect to it and leave it alone.

How we use them

Questions Glasgow brands ask us

Do you have an office in Glasgow?

No. We have one office, and it is not in Glasgow. We work with Scottish brands remotely and travel up where a project genuinely benefits from it. We would rather say that than register a virtual Glasgow address, which several agencies competing for this search have done.

Are you a Shopify agency for Scotland as a whole, or just Glasgow?

The whole of Scotland. Glasgow is the biggest search term, not the boundary. We work with brands across the central belt and further north on exactly the same basis, and none of it depends on being in the same city as you.

We sell internationally already. Can you handle that on Shopify?

Yes, and for Scottish brands it comes up early. Shopify Markets handles per-country pricing, currencies, tax and domains properly, rather than bolting a currency switcher onto a UK store. Getting that right at build time is considerably cheaper than retrofitting it.

Does the time difference or distance cause problems?

There is no time difference, and in practice distance has not been an issue on any project. Work is reviewed on a screen and shipped from a repository. If you need someone in the room weekly, a local team is the better answer and we will tell you so.

Do you build on Shopify Plus for Glasgow brands?

Yes, and Scottish brands reach the case for it earlier than most, because they sell beyond Scotland sooner. Once multi-currency, duties and a second market are on the table, Markets and the checkout controls that come with Plus stop being a luxury. If you are still selling mainly at home, the upgrade can wait and we will say so.

Do you work on AI search visibility for Scottish brands?

Yes. An ai seo glasgow enquiry is really about whether an AI answer names your brand when someone asks it for a recommendation, which matters more for an export-minded brand than a local one, since the buyer can be researching from another country entirely with no local knowledge to fall back on. The shopify developers Glasgow brands brief on this are the same team that handles the export build.

How long does a Shopify build take for a Glasgow brand?

Scope sets the timeline, and distance plays no part in it. Larger Shopify Plus builds run eight to sixteen weeks, delivered in two-week stages on a staging theme you can review from Glasgow. The fastest bespoke build we have shipped went live in seven days, for a fashion show.

Can you build a trade or wholesale store for our stockists?

Yes. For Black Sand we built a trade store where each approved buyer sees their own catalogue and prices. For a Scottish brand supplying stockists abroad as well as at home, that lets wholesale orders come through the store itself.

We are on another platform and already sell abroad. Can we move without losing that?

Yes. We migrate brands from Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce, Wix and Squarespace, bringing products, customers and subscriptions across with a redirect for every old URL. Your market set-up is rebuilt in Shopify Markets as part of the move rather than after it. Bessette, a luxury fashion brand, made the move with us and took its domain and Google Workspace email across at the same time.

Can you run paid ads for us in markets outside the UK?

Yes. We run Meta, Google and TikTok campaigns and plan them market by market, so budget goes where the store can deliver at a price that works. Waldo, a Swiss dive watch brand, runs its paid media and SEO with us.

How quickly do you reply to a new enquiry?

Within 24 hours. The first call is with the people who would do the work, and we will tell you plainly if we are not the right fit for what you need.
